984169_1445888879024604_2371351003502207617_nThe human resource capacity of the Guyana Police Force received a significant boost with the enlisting of 295 recruits. The recruits were officially admitted to the Force during a “passing-out parade” held at the Police Sports Club Ground, Eve Leary on Monday.
During the ceremonial parade, Assistant Commissioner of Police David Ramnarine encouraged the recruits to remain focused and committed to their oath of service.

They were also urged to live within their salary scale and remain humble as they ought to be examples to society.
“In the various communities in which you will find yourself serving across the country, we warn you against corruption and negative consequences and remind you of the multiplicities of opportunities that are found in the force for your growth and development,” he said.
Ramnarine also emphasized the need for recruits to pursue upward mobility while serving.
The recruits underwent 16 weeks of training and were exposed to several components including crime scene investigation, domestic violence, and anger management.
Sixty-seven women successfully completed the course which was held under the theme “Training to build and strengthen the competence of ranks, through partnership and monitoring of performances”
