Terron Welch crowned Road to Mecca III 3-point shootout champion

Half Mile Bulls’ Terron Welch stroked his way the Guyana Amateur Basketball Federation (GABF) Road to Mecca III 3-point shootout title, hitting 19 points from his allotted 25 shots, when the final of the novelty event was held last evening at the Cliff Anderson Sports Hall.

Scores of shooters gathered from amongst the eight participating clubs but on the night of the final, the Lindener had to work hard to earn the $20,000 first place prize.

Ravens guard Dominic Vincente had set the benchmark of 18 from 25 and in dramatic fashion, Welch made 19 to take the coveted trophy and the title of 3-point champion.
