Carpenter shot in failed execution attempt

A 22 year old Carpenter of North Ruimveldt was last evening (March 16) shot to the buttocks while sitting on the roadside.

Information reaching News Room stated that Ruben Hopkinson of 2109 Nutmeg Street Festival City, North Ruimveldt was shot at approximately 21.30hrs on Wednesday evening while in the vicinity of Eden Street, Tucville.

Police sources related that the man was approached by two persons on foot, when one of them whipped out a handgun and discharged shots in his direction, one of which struck him to the buttocks.

The young man, who is presently hospitalized told the police that he is not familiar with his assailants.

The police investigations are ongoing.
