    FIFTY- three year old Elvin Lorrimer of Carter Road Kara Kara Housing Scheme, Linden was last evening (March 21) shot while on the Linden bus park.

    The man who was reportedly shot twice, once to the chest and foot was rushed to the Georgetown Public Hospital, where he died hours after.

    His death was recorded as 00:30hrs this morning.

    Divisional Commander Clifton Hicken confirmed that the incident took place and that the man died while receiving intense medical attention.

    At first persons thought the shooting was robbery related but according to others in the area at the time, the two gunmen left on a  motorcycle, taking nothing from their victim.

    Last evening, while at the Georgetown Public Hospital relatives of the man were not allowed to see him after they arrived from Linden.

    Doctors indicated to them that the man was receiving medical attention and that they would need to come back later today to get information on his condition, the family members left and unfortunately the man passed away without them being able to see him.

    The police investigations are ongoing.
