Police investigating fatal accident

Investigations are being conducting into a fatal accident that occurred about 23:30hrs last night (March 21) on  Le Destin Public Road, East Bank Esssequibo, which resulted in the death of a motorist.

Police say Derron Elexey, 30 years , of De Kinderen, West Coast Demerara was driving a motor car and in attempting to overtake another motor car collided with the vehicle. He lost control of his vehicle and crashed.

Elexey received injuries and was taken to the Leonora Cottage Hospital where he was pronounced Dead on Arrival.
