Paul Gorriah 28, Donnel Trapp 21 and Keron Timothy Corbin 18 were this morning all placed on remand until April 18, 2016 for the murder of Agriculturalist Anthony Breedy. The trio appeared at the Georgetown Magistrate’s Court before Chief Magistrate, Ann McLennan.

The men who were unrepresented during their first appearance today, were originally scheduled to appear in the court on Monday (March 22) but did not after some reported issues with filing of the matter surfaced.

The court heard that Gorriah the No.1 accused, Trapp the No.2 accused and Corbin the No.3 accused, between March 12 and 14 murdered Anthony Breedy at his Hill Foot Soesdyke home during the course of a robbery.

Gorriah told the court that he resides at Timehri and is self-employed while the number two and three accused related to the court that were employed with a construction company and hardware store respectively.

At the court this morning the relatives of the accused were present, just as they were on Monday awaiting the appearance of the men.

The relatives of the accused, mostly women could be heard telling them as they were being taken back into the lockups area at the court and that they should turn their backs on the media so that the cameras would not record their faces.

The men complied but unfortunately they did not cater for the backup cameras of News Room which was position at another angle.

Anthony Breedy was an Agriculturalist who served the Caribbean Island of Montserrat for years before returning to Guyana and building his home at Soesdyke. The No.1 accused was the person who was invited to spend some time with Breedy at his home but instead he invited other friends and together they tortured, beat, robbed and murdered the 60 year old.
