MPI distributes 400 kites to four communities for Easter holiday

Minister of Public Infrastructure, David Patterson and a team of his ministry, in the spirit of Easter yesterday (March 24) delivered 400 kites to children of several villages on the East Coast and East Bank of Demerara.

The Minister and team were greeted with “smiling faces, eager hands and childish laughter” from the children of Melanie Damishana, Bare Root, Agricola, and Bagotville.

According to Minister Patterson, the exercise was not only a great way to brighten the children’s days, but a way to “embody the togetherness and sharing that typically comes with the Easter holidays.”
