PPP extends Easter greetings; condemns “modern day Judases”

The People’s Progressive Party (PPP) is extending Easter greetings to all Guyanese, more specifically the Christian community.

The party reminded that Easter is a special time of the year which symbolizes the resurrection of the Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ, who died on the Cross.

The PPP is calling on Guyanese to reflect on the significance of Easter, which is the honouring and recognition of the resurrection of Christ and his glorious promise of eternal life for all, noting that “as Guyanese continue to suffer at the hands of an uncaring APNU-AFC administration, the message of Easter becomes all the more relevant.”

The opposition party is also condemning “those modern day Judases in our midst who are prepared to sacrifice their soul(s) for the biblical few pieces of silver. But, like the soaring kites the spirits of the Guyanese people remains high, unbroken and strong in the knowledge that a better day beckons,” the party contended.
