NBA great Michael Jordan topped Forbes’ list of highest-paid retired athletes by a long way after reportedly earning $110 million in 2015.

He may be retired, but Michael Jordan continues to dominate the sports world.

Forbes released their annual list of the highest-paid retired athletes on Wednesday and the NBA great topped it by a long way after reportedly earning $110 million in 2015, bringing his net worth to an estimated $1.1 billion.

Jordan earned $45m more than former football star David Beckham, who finished second after making $65m last year.

Meanwhile, golf great Arnold Palmer rounded out the top three with $40m earned in 2015.

The top 10 retired athletes on the Forbes list were:

    1. Michael Jordan, basketball, $110 million
    2. David Beckham, football, $65m
    3. Arnold Palmer, golf, $40m
    4. Junior Bridgeman, basketball, $32m
    5. Jerry Richardson, American football, $30m
    6. Jack Nicklaus, golf, $26m
    7. Shaquille O’Neal, basketball, $22m
    8. Roger Penske, motorsport, $20m
    9. Gary Player, golf, $19m
    10. Magic Johnson, basketball, $18m

Jordan has his long-standing relationships with Nike, Hanes, Gatorade, Five Star Fragrances and Upper Deck to thank for his continued success after hanging up his sneakers.
