Guyana moved 23 places up the FIFA Men’s world rankings to 133,  according to the latest rankings released by the sport’s World Governing body today (April 7).

The Golden Jaguars are undefeated this year, with their recent wins coming over Anguilla (7 – 0) and Puerto Rico (1 – 0) in Round One of the Caribbean Football Union 2016 Scotiabank Men’s Caribbean Cup.

The Guyana Football Federation (GFF) in a release said that the ranking represents a Guyana National Men’s Team that is no longer a force to be taken lightly within Caribbean Football Union (CFU), CONCACAF and the world of football.

In an invited comment, President of the GFF, Wayne Forde, has expressed his satisfaction with this movement and extended congratulations to the management and players.

The Golden Jaguars will now shift their attention to the June 1 – 7 CFU Caribbean Cup second round, where they are down to face Curacao and the United States Virgin Islands.
