The main Opposition, People’s Progressive Party says it has begun compiling a laundry list of issues that will require urgent attention when it resumes office.

This is according to Opposition Leader, Bharrat Jagdeo, who yesterday informed the media that the list so far has 18 items to get the economy “rolling back again” and “confidence restored in the country.”

Jagdeo also pointed out that this list does not include going after politicians. However, he has issued a strong warning to public officers who become involved in acts contrary to the law saying these persons will face the consequences.

When asked whether he was concerned about alienating public officers Jagdeo maintained that his party will pursue a witch hunt and is in fact in favour of whistleblower legislation which he says will protect them.
