Rose, who hails from the Berbice river community of Kwakwani in Region 10, was sensational in the back-court for the Colts throughout the championship and was instrumental in his team’s 75 – 55 win over the Retrieve Raiders of Linden at the Cliff Anderson Sports Hall on April 23.

For the win, the Colts pocketed $500,000 while the Raiders settled for $250,000.

At a simple presentation ceremony held last evening (May 7) at Palm Court, GABF Vice President Michael Singh thanked the participating clubs for the high level of play and promised an even bigger championship next year.

Mackeson brand manager Jamal Douglas, said that Ansa McAl was more than happy to once again be the tournament’s primary sponsor and also hinted that next year, the company will play an even greater role in the event.

Douglas further noted that the Mackeson 3X3 country-wide tournament is presently in its planning stage and players should prepare themselves for another exciting event.
