Education Minister visits family of teen crushed by truck
Minister of Education, Dr. Rupert Roopnaraine and Officers of the Ministry of Education this morning visited and paid their respects to Ms. Alieka Davis, mother of Kevon Scipio, who died after being hit by a truck that was at the time transporting steel pans on Tuesday, May 24 at the North Ruimveldt Secondary School.
Kevon Scipio was an Eighth Grade student of the Richard Ishmael Secondary School and a member of the Pan Wave Steel Band.
The Ministry of Education has offered its support to the mother and family and extended its deepest regret at the passing of Kevon Scipio especially as he was looking forward to participating in the Jubilee celebrations onThursday, May 26.
