GLTA Launches GBTI Independence Jubilee Open Tennis tournament

Another year of exciting tennis is soon to be on the way at the annual Guyana Bank for Trade and Industry (GBTI) Open Tennis tournament which is scheduled to serve off on June 3.

This is the largest tournament that attracts spectators, prize money and players therefore members of the Guyana Lawn Tennis Association (GLTA) executive met with GBTI to discuss the tournament being taken to the next level.

Since the tournament has coincided with the celebration of Guyana’s 50^th independence, it has been branded GBTI Independence Jubilee Open and is anticipated to be the biggest tournament with a difference.

GBTI has expressed it is once again pleased to be sponsoring this annual Tennis Tournament.

The Bank has noted, “over the years, a constant rise in the quality of the world of sport of Tennis and we are proud to be associated with the Guyana Lawn Tennis Association in this regard”

The bank in a release said “we are urging everyone to support the Guyana Tennis Association by making every effort to attend the matches”.
President Jamal Goodluck, Junior Chair Grace McCalman and Tournament Chair Robert Bostwick were present to receive the cheque on behalf of the association.
