Andrew Arts chess tourney starts this weekend

The Guyana Chess Federation (GCF) is pleased to announce the hosting of the FIDE-rated Andrew Arts memorial chess tournament.

This Swiss System seven-round tournament will be held at the National Resource Centre on Woolford Avenue, with a time control of 90 minutes per player.  Action is scheduled to begin on Saturday June 25 at 13:00h, followed by Sunday June 26 at 09:30h.

Games will continue the following weekend (July 2 at noon, and July 3 at 09:30h). The registration fee is $500 per player.

The GCF would like to express its gratitude to management and staff of Andrew Arts for their generous patronage, and invites all chess enthusiasts to participate in the four-day tournament.
