Trophy Stall supports DVA’s B Division competition

The Demerara Volleyball Association (DVA) continues to make good on its promise of development with an upcoming B Division tournament, which will see new teams, new names and new talent.

The teams expected to participate are Timehri Airport Males, Timehri Highflyers Males, Plaisance Males, St Cuthbert’s Males, Vanguard Females and St Cuthbert Mission Females. Action will begin with the first leg on Friday (June 24) at the Airport Playfield, Timehri, at 17:00h and the second leg on July 9 at St Cuthbert’s Mission to decide the winner.

DVA President Trevor Williams expressed gratitude on behalf of the DVA to Ramesh Sunich for coming on board and supporting the development of volleyball in Demerara. The emerging B Division competition will provide much needed exposure and competition for new teams in Demerara, which in turn gives the DVA the opportunity to take volleyball right across the expanse of Demerara.

Sunich of Trophy Stall also expressed his delight at being on board with the DVA as he sees his sponsorship as a way of giving back to the sporting fraternity. He is looking forward to a fruitful relationship with the DVA.

The DVA is extending an invitation to the general public to come out and support the local emerging stars and enjoy exciting games as this tournament serves off.
