Guyana Amazon Warriors defeated St Kitts Patriots by four wickets with a ball to spare in match two of the Hero Caribbean Premier League at Warner Park, St Kitts.

Requiring seven off the final over bowled by ex-Amazon Warrior, Krishmar Santokie, the Warriors knocked off the target with Jason Mohammed hitting a crucial boundary off the fourth ball.

Final scores in the match: St Kitts Patriots 164-9 (20 overs); Guyana Amazon Warriors 165-6 (19.5 overs).

While Mohammed ended on a 29-ball unbeaten 42 which included six fours, it was opener Dwayne Smith who gave the Amazon Warriors chase impetus with a swashbuckling 62 off 36 balls, an innings that included five sixes and three fours.

Martin Guptill (22) and Anthony Bramble (14) were the only other batsmen into double-figures. Carlos Brathwaite claimed two wickets for the Patriots, who got 38 apiece from Brad Hodge and Devon Thomas and 30 from the skipper Faf du Plessis.

Sohail Tanvir claimed 4-20 and Adam Zampa 3-34.
