‘Ajinomoto do Brasil’ reinforces importance of buying original products

Ajinomoto do Brasil holds the exclusive rights to all intellectual property related to the trademark AJI-NO-MOTO® and advises that Continental Agencies Ltd. is the only authorised distributor to sell the company’s products, in Guyana.

Ajinomoto wishes to advise the general public in Guyana that the original product can be identified by the following characteristics; the expiration date is printed on the side of the package; on the back of the package, the name printed as the originating country has to be Ajinomoto do Brasil Indústria e Comércio de Alimentos Ltda. based in Limeira/SP. Additional security measures have also been placed on the packaging “Mfg for Continental Agencies Ltd” so that consumers can be aware of the authentic product.

The product AJI-NO-MOTO®, manufactured by Ajinomoto do Brasil, is made to the highest standards of quality and safety. Hence products which have not been sold by Continental Agencies Ltd [the only authorised distributor] and do not show the characteristics as mentioned above are considered FAKE and are not recognised as being a product of the Ajinomoto Group.

The Government Analyst Food and Drug Department (GAFDD), the agency that regulates the food industry in the country, supports Ajinomoto and, in order to bring the correct information to the public and ensure protection against purchasing of fake products by consumers, published on June 13^th 2016 on its website information that alerts the public to the characteristics of the original AJI-NO-MOTO that is sold in Guyana.
