The People’s Progressive Party (PPP) is congratulating all those students who excelled at the recent Caribbean Secondary Examination (CSEC) and the Caribbean Advanced Proficiency Examination (CAPE).

Special congratulations were extended to those who topped at both levels of the examination.

The party while taking note of those students who performed exceptionally, highlighted the overall decline in several other subject areas including Mathematics ,which showed a significant dip in student performance.

The Party expressed concern that the enhanced delivery of quality education under the PPP/C administration is “under threat of being eroded and unless this trend is arrested, the country could once again see itself placed at the bottom of the performance ladder.”

The PPP is calling on the administration to ensure that the necessary resources are put into the education sector in order to avoid further slippages in the delivery of quality education.
