    Caribbean Airlines announced on Friday that it will be upgrading its Caribbean Miles Frequent Flyer Programme a leading technology provider which is used by over 120 major airlines globally; Amadeus Loyalty & Awards Management Solutions.

    In order to facilitate this improvement, the airline said its loyalty reservations system will be temporarily unavailable during the period 17-20 September, 2016.

    In this regard, it is requesting that customers ensure that all requests for travel are completed by 4:00 p.m. (EST) on Friday 16 September, 2016.

    The Caribbean Miles Service Centre will resume operations at 9:00 am (EST) on Wednesday 21 September, 2016.

    This state of the art system is being implemented in three phases which will be completed by the end of January 2017.

    CAL promises that upon its completion, customers will be provided with an enhanced experience offering;

    • Faster reward redemption, via our Caribbean Miles Service Centre, allowing for reservations and payments to be made in one transaction.
    • Self-service online reward redemption, and miles purchase from the comfort of your home, office or mobile devices.
    • Increased benefits and additional travel service partners.

    Vice President Commercial (Ag) Sean Quong Sing stated: “This upgrade is also a key milestone for the Caribbean Airlines brand, as it marks the full integration of our Jamaica based programme, 7th Heaven Rewards, with the largest programme in the region, Caribbean Miles. We are delighted that our loyal customers will now have more opportunities to earn and redeem miles through our expanded network from South America & the Caribbean, to and from North America, with added benefits and partners to come in the near future.”
