    On Friday November 11, EPIC Guyana partnered with Royal Castle to provide meals for the detainees at the Sophia Juvenile Detention Facility.

    EPIC, which is an acronym for ‘enhance potential inspire change’ is a Non- Governmental Organization that advocates for juvenile offenders.

    Lunch was provided for all 28 juvenile offenders at the facility, and was a promised reward for several weeks without any disciplinary infractions by the detainees.

    Mr. Winston Martindale and Mr. Brian Backer of EPIC Guyana, Ms. Anne Greene of the Child Protection Services,several social workers and others attached to the Sophia Juvenile facility were present.
