The female suspect who was arrested in connection with the robbery under arms committed at the home of Former Home Affairs Minister, Clement Rohee on November 09, 2016 was on Thursday charged with two counts of robbery under arms.

The accused, 49-year-old Corlette Parks of 4692 Postal Housing Scheme, Georgetown, appeared before Magistrate Lambert at the Providence Magistrate’s Court where she pleaded not guilty to both charges.

She was remanded to prison until January 11, 2017.

On November 09, it is alleged that three males entered the home of the PPP/C Member of Parliament and tied up two of the helpers who were at home, before ransacking the home and making off with an undisclosed sum of cash and jewellery.

The vehicle; PRR514 which was allegedly used to transport the perpetrators was recovered on the same day, however, it was later revealed that the vehicle was rented from a dealer by Parks, under a false name.

The woman was taken to the Brickdam Police station by a civilian on Monday last.
