    St John’s, ANTIGUA – Former Test and West Indies cricketer, Travis Dowlin is the latest addition to the selection panel of the West Indies Cricket Board. He will start official duties, January 1, 2017.

    Dowlin represented Guyana from 1997 to 2011. During that time, he played 85 first-class matches scoring 4,013 runs at an average of 30.7; 57 List A matches scoring 1,189 runs at an average of 24.5 and 24 Twenty20 matches at an average of 29.05.

    In 2009 he was Guyana’s Captain for that season and in 2010 he captained the West Indies A team tour to Bangladesh.

    Dowlin went on to represent the West Indies in six (6) Tests. He made 343 runs, 95 being his highest score. He ended with an average of 31.8. He played 11 ODIs totaling 228 runs at an average of 25.33 and two Twenty20s where he scored 68 runs.

    Dowlin has been a cricket analyst for the past three years, at both regional and international levels and has done radio commentary for the Caribbean Premier League (CPL) and regional matches held in Guyana.

    He was also selected as a member of the radio commentary panel for the final leg of the recently concluded Tri-Series held in the West Indies.

    He currently attends University of Guyana where he is pursuing a Bachelor of Science Degree in Communications. He already holds a Diploma in Communications. Dowlin joins Courtney Browne – Chairman, Eldine Baptiste and Lockhart Sebastien to complete the panel.
