    Massy Industries and Massy Gas Products shared honours in the Roy Prasad Whist and Domino tournaments for teams within the Massy Group, played at the Staff Facilities at Ruimveldt.

    Massy Industries amassed 79 games to win the Domino final, with Massy Gas securing second position on 72 games, while Massy Technologies ended in the cellar spot on 70 games. Trideo Ramroop and Javid Muneshwar were declared joint Most Valuable Players (MVP) of the final.

    Other consolation prizes were presented to Philip Persaud, who recorded the first love in the final; best female player was Savitri Chalilall; D. Clementson scored the first double love in the preliminary competition, while V. Roopnarine recorded the first love in the preliminary.

    Massy Gas Products emerged winners of the Whist tournament when they defeated Massy Distribution ‘B’ in the final by 315 games to 270. The Most Valuable Players of the final were Hemrattie Sooknanan and Sadesh Ramdeen.

    Other awardees were A. Tiwari and R. Lall with 13 tricks; best female pair Yolanda Persaud and Naleni Persaud; and MVP of the preliminary, N. Kishore and I. Boodram. The tournaments were held in honour of outgoing Chief Executive Officer of Massy Distribution/Trade Roy Prasad and organised by Rodney McDonald and Stanley Fung-a-Fat.
