Career diplomat and Former People’s Progressive Party/Civic (PPP/C) Prime Ministerial Candidate at the 2015 General Elections, Ambassador Elisabeth Harper has been hired by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to assist with border and documentation matters, given her “unique skills.”

Foreign Affairs Minister, Carl Greenidge today (Thursday, December 29, 2016) made the announcement. He told media operatives that Harper’s expertise is needed at the Ministry given the high staff turnover and difficulties in the execution of duties.

The Minister said due to the delicacy of the areas the Ministry has been utilizing Harper’s skills and will continue along this path.

Following the May 2015 PPP/C defeat, Mrs. Harper stepped down from the position of Director General of the Foreign Affairs Ministry after serving in that post for a number of years.

She has been lauded as a committed individual to her duties by previous ministers whom she worked with.
