BREAKING NEWS: PPP Execs, Red House Staff “square off” with MoTP Personnel

Believed operatives of the Ministry of the Presidency and staff of Cheddi Jagan Research Centre today (Friday December 30, 2016) squared off on the operations of the facility.

Peoples Progressive Party Executives are presently holding a press conference after persons claiming to be Ministry of the Presidency staff showed up to take control of the building.

The Jagan Research Centre staff resisted stating that based on the Presidential order they have until midnight tomorrow (Saturday, December 31, 2016).

News Room was also told that the persons who showed up reportedly locked the gates to the compound with staff of the Jagan Research Centre were still inside the building.

At the moment there are several executives of the PPP at the facility including the Leader of the Opposition, Bharrat Jagdeo, Anil Nandlall, Priya Manickchand and Dr Frank Anthony.

The men who came said that the Minister of State told them that no one should leave the building nor should anything be removed from the building while the PPP says it will continue to occupy the building until February 20, 2017 when the matter comes up in court again.

The police were also present at the location taking statements from those who claimed to be acting on Minister Harmon’s behalf as well as those who occupied the Research Centre when the men came.
