Cricket Guy Inc. wishes to advise that the Jaguars 50-over League, which was scheduled to commence on January 3 has been deferred to a date to be announced later. This deferral is due persistent rainfall, which has left earmarked grounds in an unfavourable playing state.

As a consequence, Cricket Guy Inc. has shortlisted 28 players for practice matches, tentatively set for the National Stadium, Providence, on January 5-6. These two matches are likely to be the final game context opportunity that players would have before the selection of the final 14-man squad of the Guyana Jaguars team.

The Guyana Jaguars will be looking to capture the championship title of the 2017 WICB Regional Super50 tournament, which commences on January 24.

The 28 players are: Shimron Hetmyer, Leon Johnson, Assad Fudadin, Raymon Reifer, Devendra Bishoo, Veerasammy Permaul, Keon Joseph, Paul Wintz, Christopher Barnwell, Chandrapal Hemraj, Tagenarine Chanderpaul, Romario Shepherd, Tevin Imlach, Anthony Adams, Gudakesh Motie, Robin Bacchus, Anthony Bramble, Shivnarine Chanderpaul, Ronsford Beaton, Rajendra Chandrika, Vishaul Singh, Jonathan Foo, Sherfane Rutherford, Royston Crandon, Clinton Pestano, Steven Jacobs, Eon Hooper and Kevon Boodie.
