The O-Zone Foundation recently launched its Community Outreach Programme in Region 3 with a back-to- school footwear distribution exercise from which over 400 children and adults benefited.

This outreach saw the collaboration of the Humanitarian Assistance Programme (HAP) of the Embassy of the United States, one of O-Zone’s key partners and the Commander of ‘D’ Division of the Guyana Police Force, Leslie James.

O-Zone Foundation says it continues to work closely with the Guyana Police Force in the respective regions with the aim of forging amicable partnership between communities and the police under the “O-Zone Foundation Youth with A Purpose Initiative”. Through this programme, the Organisation aims to minimise the chances of at-risk youths being incarcerated.

The back-to-school drive targeted children and adults from Plastic City, Sister’s Village and Vive-La-Force. The children of Plastic City also received toys.

O-Zone Foundation extends special thanks to the Region 3 Regional Executive Officer, Mr. Denis Jaikaran and his staff for their support of this event.
