    Ms. Edmay McIntosh of Friendship, East Bank Demerara recently celebrated her 104th birthday.

    Ms. McIntosh, or as she is more lovingly referred to as Ms. Mac was paid a visit by Minister of Social Protection, Amna Ally who presented her with a hamper.

    Ms. McIntosh was born on January 26, 1913, in Paramaribo, Suriname.

    Ms. McIntosh later moved to Guyana as a young child with her parents. She is the eldest of seven children, two boys and five girls and is also the only surviving sibling.

    She is the mother four children; three boys and a girl who is now deceased.

    The lover of food not only has grand-children and great grand-children but is also a great great grandmother who also keeps abreast with the news via radio since her eyesight does not allow her to read as much as she used to.

    Ms. McIntosh gave all thanks to God for blessing and keeping her in good health and strength to see the age of 104.
