    By Leroy Smith

Senior Superintendent of Police and ‘C’ Division Commander, Calvin Brutus along with his management team yesterday (Monday, May 29, 2017), ushered senior citizens into the Division’s headquarters as they seek to enhance the relationship the division shares with members of the public.

Through the effort which was supported by the various Sub-Divisional officers, Station Sergeant and Subordinate officers, the ranks pooled resources and purchased several necessary items for the seniors.

The items were packed into hampers and with the assistance of residents, the police sought out the seniors from several villages within ‘C’ Division who they considered to be most in need of the items.

The individuals were presented with the items and escorted back to their communities and homes. Among those presented with hampers on Monday was a centenarian from the community of Beterverwagting.

In his remarks, Brutus while addressing the gathering of senior citizens, their relatives and members of the force indicated that the division would continue to explore new ways to aid in the success of the Division’s Social Crime Prevention Programme.
