President and Owner of GT Motorsports, Vishok Persaud is expecting nothing but thrilling action on Saturday evening (July 08, 2017) when the third edition of the Georgetown Grand Prix is held at the Guyana Motor Racing and Sports Club.

At a press update on Wednesday evening (July 05, 2017) Persaud shared the intent of GT Motorsports with regard to the promotion of karting, which has become a very popular sport and social activity.

“On Saturday night we are going to have what’s now an anticipated event on the local calendar not only for the motor racing fraternity but families as well, we have worked with the Guyana Motor Racing and Sports Club with the team that karting is for everyone when you can come out and try it and just see if you like,” Persaud noted.

In addition, Persaud noted that there will definitely thrills that will provide fans of the sport with an exciting show.

“The highlight of the night will be the development of the kids, I believe they have gotten faster and they know the track better, we also have the shifter karts where it is expected to be a grand show and we should have a surprise on Saturday for those drivers who have worked on getting faster,” Persaud shared.

Meanwhile, the experienced Stefan Jeffrey who will compete in the highly anticipated shifter karts event declared his readiness and urged fans to come out and get a feel of the action.

“It really should be fun, I expect it to be very competitive because it’s a really good field but I’m ready for the event.

“Go karts is fun and I think it’s a sport where anything can happen and fans should want to see that and I would urge them to come out and get a feel of it,” Jeffrey mentioned.

The Georgetown Grand Prix will start at 19:00h or 7pm. Tickets cost $1,000 for adults, while children under 12 is $500 and VIP $4,000.
