Annai are Digicel Region Nine champs

The Digicel School Football tournament continued over the weekend with Annai Secondary emerging as the Region Nine champs after defeating St. Ignatius Secondary 2-1 on Sunday.

Annai Secondary after demolishing Aishalton Secondary 9-nil in their playoff match on Saturday had to fight for the win with late goals by Damion Mack in the 78^th and Naidison Daniels in the 81^st minutes to pull of the come from behind win.

St. Ignatius defeated 3-2 in their playoff match on home turf to make the final against an inform Annai Secondary.

Annai will now move onto cross country rivals in their quest to appear in their first Digicel final which is set for July 31 at the National Track and Field Centre, Leonora.
