‘Bacchanal Wednesday’ concert to adhere to 2am curfew

Party fanatics are said to be up for a very energetic night as Hits and Jams pull off their “Bacchanal Wednesday” concert later this evening.

However, despite the lineup of some seventeen big names of the Soca music industry, backed by Guyanese artistes, the show is not expected to go beyond the mandatory 2am curfew deadline.

This was announced by Executive Manager of the Hits and Jams Entertainment Company, Kerwin Bollers in response to questions from members of the media at a press conference at the venue – the National Park.

The “Bacchanal Wednesday” Concert is a concept which was adopted from Trinidad and Tobago and is said to be the brainchild of female Soca sensation, Destra Garcia. It was first introduced in Trinidad earlier this year.

The concert is one of two mega events which the Hits and Jams Company has put on as part of their Jam Zone celebration. Hits and Jams is celebrating 17 years of providing entertainment to the Guyanese public and in previous years, they have been extending their services to other parts of the Caribbean.

Bollers assured that the gates to the venue would be opened at 18:00hrs and the concert starts 20:00hrs. He added that the entertainment will be very stiff with little or no down time as they plan to give party lovers the full package for their monies worth.

Asked if his company is concerned about the concert is being held in the middle of the work week, Bollers responded in the negative, as he noted that there are many Guyanese who travelled to a similar celebration in Trinidad.
