    Fifteen members of the Guyana Bank for Trade and Industry’s Early Savers Club who were successful at the recent National Grade Six Assessment (NGSA) today received Bursary Awards from the bank.

    According to a release issued by GBTI, the ecstatic students were encouraged to stay focused on their education but to remember to have fun as they embark on a new phase in their lives, by Senior Education Officer (Mathematics), Mr Ameer Ali.

    Ali also commended GBTI for this initiative and noted that the Ministry of Education is pleased to be a part of the bursary award ceremony, the release said.

    Meanwhile, Sean Noel, Senior Manager at GBTI noted that the Bank holds education in the highest regards. He also disclosed that the Bank has launched its Annual Calendar Art Competition and encouraged the students to enter and be a part of the GBTI 2018 Calendar.

    This year’s awardees included the student who copped the second place performer in the country at the NGSA -Ms Gabriella Roberts.

    The other awardees include Gabriella Roberts, Shelby Gomes, Leonard Grant, Leonardo Juan, Marlon Benn, Ryea Algu, Shilendra Haripersaud, Saif Khan, Bholanand Seenarine, Carey Sutherland, Oma Seeraj, Shaquan Adams, Naita Rafick, Deonarine Dukharan and Shania Andrews (Bursary Award handed over to her at the Corriverton Branch- inset)
