Baby delivered on Ituni trail after ambulance breaks down

A young lady gave birth to her baby on the Ituni trail early Saturday morning after the ambulance carrying her to the hospital in Linden broke down.

News Room understands that a passenger bus on the way from Kwakwani stopped and offered assistance to the driver of the ambulance and it carried on to the McKenzie hospital with the mother and her newborn baby.

A nurse, who was accompanying the young lady to the hospital, reportedly delivered the baby on board the ambulance as it was left parked on the trail until the bus approached and offered assistance.
