Dynamic International Airways has assured that passengers who would have booked flights with the airline after October 03, 2017 will receive their refunds.

In a statement, Chief Executive Officer of the Airline, Ray Lawlor said: “we ask for your understanding with this situation and want to assure all passengers who were scheduled to use our services after October 3, they will be issued a refund on the unused portion of their ticket.”

He also noted that Dynamic intends to honour its outstanding debt to the Airport and Civil Aviation authorities.

The airline after serving the local market for four years, pulled out on October 3, 2017, as a result of its bankruptcy proceedings in the United States.

Expressing regret at the move which had to be made, the company said it may return to the local market under its new ACMI (Aircraft. Crew. Maintenance. Insurance) agreement.

“We regret having to discontinue service to Guyana at this time but will soon enter into discussions with an interested Party about serving this market under a new arrangement which is permitted as we seek to reorganize. The new arrangement, known as an ACMI agreement, would allow Dynamic to serve the Guyana/New York market,” the statement added.

Dynamic International Airways filed for bankruptcy in July and has cut its workforce from 192 to 132. The operator, in its bankruptcy proceedings, outlined plans to change its focus to an ACMI model which provides aircraft, complete crew, maintenance, and insurance to another airline.

In pursuing its new ACMI and charter strategy, Dynamic has secured a contract with Swift Travel Services to operate until the end of March 2018. The North-Carolina based carrier suspended its Asian operations in August, after an engine problem.
