Dentist robbed at gunpoint in Queenstown

Police are hunting for two suspects who robbed a Dentist at his Anira Street, Queenstown, Georgetown, home at about 02:30hrs on Thursday morning.

According to the police, the 31-year-old Dentist was walking into his yard when two men—one armed with a handgun and one unarmed—attacked him.

It was described that the armed suspect attacked him from behind, held him at gunpoint and ordered him to lie on the ground, while the unarmed suspect relieved him of his cell phone, cash and other valuables.

During the robbery, a round was discharged by the armed suspect. The suspects then made good their escape on foot heading north of Anira Street.

An investigation is in progress.
