Embattled teacher arrested for rape, sexual grooming of fmr. student

Embattled teacher, Coen Jackson has been arrested for rape and sexual assault of a former student of the Bishops’ High School (BHS) who is now 22-years-old.

News Room understands that the 39-year-old teacher was arrested at his Pollydore Street, Lodge home on Saturday following a general investigation which was conducted by the Ministry of Education.

However, Jackson was specifically arrested for an incident which occurred at Durban Street, Lodge between December 2010 and May 2011 while the victim was a student of the educational institution.

Police said Jackson denied the allegations; he was however placed on $100,000 bail and his passport was lodged.

Jackson, a teacher of over 20 years, was sent on administrative leave pending the outcome of a police investigation into allegations of sexual misconduct. Jackson is accused of sexualizing his classes, having inappropriate conversations with students and having sex with students.

During a press conference, Jackson denied the allegations however he admitted to having intimate relationships with two former students of the school.
