Speeding police vehicle crashes into house

Three police ranks escaped serious injuries after the vehicle they were in crashed into a house at De Hoop, Mahaica, East Coast Demerara Tuesday morning.

An eyewitness told News Room that the police jeep toppled four times before crashing into the house at around 08:45hrs.

According to the eyewitness, the three ranks exited the vehicle and tried to hide from members of the public. The eyewitness said that the vehicle was speeding at the time of the accident.

Persons at the scene said that several empty Guinness Bottles were found inside the wrecked police vehicle.
