Guyana’s ‘Lady Jags’ played to an exciting 2-2 draw against Bermuda, while Barbados tipped Suriname 2-1 as Group E action in the CONCACAF Caribbean Women’s Qualifiers commenced in Guyana on Wednesday evening.

Playing at the Leonora Track and Field facility, Guyana trailed Bermuda twice before equalising on both occasions as the teams walked off with an equal share of the points.

Teyah Lindo put Bermuda ahead just five minutes into the match. However, Brianne Dessa equalised two minutes later for the ‘Lady Jags.’

Sixteen minutes in the match, Lindo again give Bermuda the advantage, scoring off a free-kick. The scoreline remained the same, as the visitors entered the half-time break leading the match.

Upon resumption, Guyana found the equaliser off the cleats of Cameo Hazelwood, who scored off a free-kick in the 58th minute.

Action will continue on Friday (May 25) at the same venue with Barbados playing Bermuda at 17:00h and Guyana taking on Suriname at 19:30h.
