Local conglomerate, BK International today donated a quantity of beds and mattresses to the Guyana Police Force (GPF) as part of its corporate social responsibility programme.

Ten mattresses and five bunk beds were handed over during a simple ceremony at the GPF Mounted Division, Camp Street.

Receiving the donation on behalf of the Force were Senior Superintendent Errol Watts and Deputy Superintendent Rudolph Banwarie.

Watts explained that there are approximately 50 officers staying at the Mounted Division but not enough beds to comfortably accommodate them.

As such, he contacted BK International requesting assistance and within a week, the company responded with the donation.
