11 Reserve Officers complete GDF Junior Command course

The Guyana Defence Force (GDF) has announced that 11 Reserve Officers have successfully completed the Reserve Officer Junior Command and Staff Course 7.

“The course, which caters strictly to Reserve Officers enables them to perform the duties of Sub- Unit Commanders and Unit Staff Officers,” the GDF stated.

The course extended to over six months as training was conducted mainly on weekends and on selected weekdays.

Lieutenant Shawn Legall, a doctor, graduated as Best Student while Lieutenant Patrice Jacobs, an engineer, won the prize for Runner-Up Best Student.

Lieutenant Hubern Collins, a teacher, receive the prize for having the Best Service paper.
