President in ‘good health’, completes medical check-up in Cuba

President David Granger’s medical team of specialists has confirmed that his Non-Hodgkin Lymphoma remains in remission and that he is in “good health.”

A brief statement from the Ministry of the Presidency Tuesday revealed that the President travelled to Cuba on January 18 for his scheduled medical evaluation and the examination showed that “he has improved to the satisfaction of his doctors and that he is in good health.”

The President will depart Havana Tuesday.

President Granger was diagnosed with Non-Hodgkin Lymphoma – a form cancer that develops in a network of vessels and glands spread throughout the body – by the Cuban medical team late October 2018 and has been undergoing medical treatment and evaluation by specialists there.

The President’s diagnosis was announced on November 14, 2018.
