Rotary Guyana and a number of local businesses have partnered to launch a fund to help provide PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) and N-95 masks (filtering facepiece respirators) and other supplies for frontline health workers who are risking their lives daily to diagnose, treat and support those with the COVID-19 disease.

Rotary Guyana and the businesses have launched the “Community COVID-19 Initiative”.

The aim is to help the Ministry of Public Health (MoPH) in their effort to manage the Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic and its impact on our country.

One of their main goals is to procure medical supplies for healthcare providers to meet the anticipated need caused by the COVID-19 pandemic and they are calling on the diaspora to support these efforts.

Fund will be used for the procurement of the necessary medical supplies outlined by hospitals treating Covid-19 patients and the supplies will be disseminated by the Rotary Guyana and Community COVID-19 Initiative.
