COVID-19 testing unit to be set up at Grove Health Centre

The Ministry of Health’s Mobile Testing Unit will be stationed at the Grove Health Centre, East Bank Demerara to conduct screening for COVID-19 ‪on Saturday, November 7 and ‪Sunday, November 8 starting ‪from 9:00 am on both days.

The testing is open to all regardless of whether or not they are showing COVID-19 symptoms. COVID-19 affects different people in different ways.

Most infected people will develop mild to moderate illness, while some can develop serious symptoms resulting in hospitalisation.

The most common symptoms of COVID-19 include fever, dry cough and tiredness, difficulty breathing or shortness of breath, chest pain or pressure and loss of speech or movement.

Persons are reminded to wear a mask and ensure they pay heed to the COVID-19 physical distancing guidelines.
