Reg. 3 man takes COVID-19 death toll to 142

A 66-year-old male of Region Three (Essequibo Islands-West Demerara) has died from COVID-19, taking Guyana’s overall death toll to 142.

The Ministry of Health (MOH) said he died while receiving care at a medical facility.

He is the 16^th person to die from the disease this month thus far.

“The MOH expresses sincerest condolences to the family of the deceased and will make every effort to provide all the necessary support during this difficult time to render any assistance needed.”

According to the release, officials of the ministry have contacted all relatives and persons to facilitate contact tracing and rapid assistance to everyone who may have been exposed to the now-deceased person.
