The body of 54-year-old Sandra Dee-Barker was found motionless Wednesday morning in her office on the third floor of the ACME General Store located at the corner of Regent and King Streets, Georgetown.

Barker of Parfaite Harmonie, West Bank Demerara, was the manager of the store and was last seen alive on Monday at about 17:30h. The body was discovered by a 25-year-old colleague and later identified by her brother, Philip Barker of Caneview Avenue, South Ruimveldt Gardens, Georgetown.

Police in a statement said the body was examined by Emergency Medical Technicians. “The scene was processed and no marks of violence were seen neither were no signs of breakage found on the building,” the police said.

The body is presently at the Lyken Funeral home awaiting a post mortem.

Meanwhile, another brother, Lex Barker in a Facebook post said Barker was his oldest sibling.

“My beautiful sister, Sandra-Dee Barker, the firstborn for the Barkers family and the first to leave us. She passed away alone on the floor in her office at Acme Photo studio, because of the grill on the door to her office, nobody could’ve checked on her when they tried to make contact with her via phone, but thought nothing of it at the time,” the brother wrote.
