    The Ministry of Health has reported that another three people died after they were infected with COVID-19.

    The latest fatalities, as reported by the Ministry of Health are:

    1. A 38-year-old man from Region Five (Mahaica- Berbice) who died on July 20
    2. A 70-year-old woman from Region Three (Essequibo Islands-West Demerara) who died on July 19
    3. A 66-year-old woman, also from Region Three, who died on July 18

    With these newly reported deaths, 41 deaths have already been recorded in the month of July. In total, there have been 515 COVID-19 deaths since March, 2020.

    Meanwhile, another 74 infections were recorded over a 24-hour period after 1,188 tests were conducted. In total, 21,807 cases have been recorded since March last year.

    The new cases were recorded from: Region One (one case), Region Two (17 cases), Region Three (15 cases), Region Four (16 cases), Region Five (one case), Region Six (23 cases) and Region 10 (one case).

    There are also 1,207 active cases. These include 17 patients in the COVID-19 Intensive Care Unit (ICU), 93 people in institutional isolation, 1,095are in home isolation and two people in institutional quarantine.

    And, 73 people who were previously infected with COVID-19, have now recovered.
