23-Y-O arrested for stealing cow
A 23-year-old man is in police custody after he reportedly stole a dark-browned spotted cow.
Police Headquarters in a statement said the suspect was observed with the animal along J.C. Chandisingh Street in Rose Hall, Corentyne Berbice, but after he saw a party of policemen on patrol, he abandoned the cow and ran away. The incident occurred at about 01:20h on Thursday.
The animal, which is unbranded, was taken to the Rose Hall Police Outpost and lodged.
The suspect was later contacted and arrested. He was found with two ropes, a cap and torchlight.
