    Three more unvaccinated people died from COVID-19 between October 02 and October 03, taking the country’s death toll from the virus to 799.

    The Ministry of Health on Sunday revealed that two persons died on October 03 and one person died on October 02. The latest fatalities also mean that for October thus far, six persons died. The ministry stated that all three patients died while receiving medical care at facilities.
    The details on the persons who died are as follows;

    Additionally, a total of 186 new COVID-19 cases were recorded from a total of 1, 190 tests. This takes the total number of confirmed cases to date to, 32, 483.

    The new infections were recorded in the following regions; Region One (16 cases), Region Two (two cases), Region Three (34 cases), Region Four (73 cases), Region Five (seven cases), Region Six (11 cases), Region Seven (seven cases), Region Eight (seven cases), Region Nine (five cases) and Region Ten (24 cases).

    To date, 27, 596 persons have recovered from the virus.

    There are 31 patients in the COVID-19 Intensive Care Unit at the Infectious Diseases Hospital; 132 patients are in institutional isolation and 3, 925 are in home isolation.
